Stabilizing an embedded object • The more an object protrudes from a wound, the more it needs to be stabilized. • Carefully assess the object and its angle in the wound. 1. Use dressings and bandages or other clean material to build up around the object. 2. Apply bandages so that they only put pressure on the dressings to hold the object firmly in place. 3. Secure it in place by tying the bandages that you built around the object. SKILL
