tertiary injury – When a patient’s body is thrown by the explosion and strikes objects such as trees, cars, buildings, or the ground. tetanus – An infection that may occur when open wounds have been exposed to dirt, dust, or animal feces. thermal burn – Is caused by heat, as opposed to chemicals, electricity, or radiation. triangle bandage – Cotton or linen bandage, generally 1m x 1m. One of the most common first aid bandages. Improvised easily from almost any material, folding options allow for multiple uses. tubular sling – A very secure and compact sling that helps immobilize as well as support an injury.
