Single Person Log Roll with Spinal Motion Restriction

Ideally you will always use two people to roll a patient. 1. With a single person roll, start by extending the patient’s near arm above their head and placing their far arm alongside their body. 2. Cup the back of the patient’s head to support it while grasping their waist and wrist on the opposite side. 3.Smoothly roll the patient towards you, maintaining the head in a neutral, in line position. 4. Carefully lower the patient back to the ground, positioning their head and neck in a neutral position, in line with the body. Proceed with your assessment. SKILL
